I looked up fundraising numbers for February and it turns out that Democrats have about 3-times the amount of money left to spend than Republicans. Here is a breakdown:

(All numbers are cash on hand figures for End-February)

DNC: 21.162 million - 5.764 million debt
Obama Victory Fund: 7.070 million - no debt
Priorities USA Action PAC: 2.846 million - no debt

Total: 115.753 million - 5.794 million debt
Total Spending Power: 109.959 million

Republicans

Romney: 7.273 million - no debt
Restore our Future PAC: 10.493 million - no debt

Santorum: 2.598 million - 923K debt
Red, White & Blue Fund PAC: 365K - 29K debt

Gingrich: 1.543 million - 1.551 million debt
Winning our Future PAC: 2.283 million - no debt

Paul: 1.368 million - no debt
Endorse Liberty PAC: 207K - no debt

RNC: 26.718 million - 10.900 million debt

Total: 52.848 million - 13.403 million debt
Total Spending Power: 39.445 million

Apparently, there is another fund for Obama that I never knew about, but which Politico mentions in their article:

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0312/74270.html

Swing State Victory Fund

This one has about 2.5 million cash on hand left.

This is news? Gingrich's campaign was in debt for almost the entirety of 2011; I wasn't aware that they were even able to eliminate all the pre-Iowa debt at all. This is what happens, I suppose, when your entire "campaign team" is just a handful of press liaison types.
