How is it that you guys see Mitt Romney as the next freaking Jesus Christ character in American politics when he (being a robot) is about as exciting as Little Caesar's oven ready pizza that has been sitting out on the counter with the box open for five days straight and overuses more platitudes than advertising execs of the 90's used the word EXTREME! to describe trendy Generation Y products?

I mean really, somebody please explain this to me.

I honestly believe that half of the people that go wild for Mitt are doing it as part of an act. The others are ill.

I guess I missed all the posts where Mittens was characterized as Jesus, charismatic, hip, and/or a transfixing salesman. I am ill however - I have this nasty cold.

Yeah. Who was that delusional person that said Romney would beat Obama in California by four points?

Romney is not a career politician like the other contenders, and he is not a communist/socialist/liberal social engineer like our current President. He has great business experience and understands the economy and jobs. He is a pragmatist, but also believes in a strong military. He seems like a great family man.

When I weigh his positives and negatives against Gingrich's and Santorum's and especially the Obama's, he wins hands down.

Agreed. This Winfield v. Phil thing has gone on too long. This site has far too many democrats  for the republicans to start turning on each other.

And I don't know how many times it needs to be said; Politico does not represent the average Romney voter. If he did, Romney would be emperor of the Earth by now.

I'm honestly considering rooting for Obama to win come election night so we get an actually good Republican field in 2016. I can't imagine four years of defending this guy. God-willing he could do well, but right now I 'aint feelin' it.
