In contrast to the Romney-Paul collusion we saw in Missouri, Santorum and Paul's campaign are openly colluding in Washington State to deprive Romney of delegates. Lots of people are pissed off. Hooray!

For all the talk about how Paul's supporters are a huge pain in the ass, they sure do get along with the other supporters when it counts.

Ron Paul seems to enjoy nothing more than preventing majorities.

I think this says something about the Paul campaign. I would expect this sort of pithy BS out of a character like Santorum, but for someone who prides him self on being the "defender of liberty" to so blatantly reject election results that do not favor his campaign seems hypocritical. Then again, this has been going on inside the Paul campaign since Iowa and has gone largely unnoticed by the media; not expecting this to have a big impact.

They're doing it since Romneyites basically stole the delegate selection process in North Dakota. IIRC they ended up with a plurality with the support of the party insiders even when the Paul and Santorumites banded together to stop them. Politics for ya

What else would one expect from a desperate, underhanded, conniving, double-dealer like Santorum, who knows he's lost but is simply too arrogant and self centred to do the right thing and drop out for the good of the party.

Santorum has become so frantic about losing that he has stooped so low as to stealing delegates from Romney.

This is truly a dispicable performance that Santorum and Paul have colluded in.

Florida is supposed to be proportional. I'm not sure if Virginia did anything wrong.

Didn't they have caucus level turnout for their primary? Seems fair to me to redo a true VA primary now that they know their votes will count.

It is time for a Santorum-Paul collusion in Missouri. It is in both candidate's interest that Romney not reach 1144.

Ron Paul wants to go to a convention... I think it's clear he feels ( And for good reason) He can out debate the other candidates and really stress the fact that he has so much more support among Independent voters and veterans than the other candidates and that he has the best chance of beating Obama and ultimately redefining what it means to be a republican in modern times ( Because it seems like the party has lost it's way because of splits in it's base). I think in a debate he can really stress the message of Fiscal conservatism and attack both Romney and Santortum's economic policies whiles going after Paul Ryan's plan in which Romney also endorsed. All of these plans increase our military budget which ultimately does nothing to reduce our debt over the long run which is the opposite of true Fiscal conservatism in my opinion.

I'm not quite sure how the present military expeditures contribute to the massive domestic spending increases under the Obama administration.

Yes Ryan's budget plan does drastically cut spending domestically but increases spending  overseas. What Paul would argue is that to actually make serious cut and fix our financial situation we have to cut both domestically and significantly reduce our defense budget.

This is basically what Paul argued about both Obama's and Ryan's budget

The linked article says that not all Santorum supporters are on board with this effort to "mal-apportion" the WA delegates. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Nothing's being malapportioned. The straw poll is a non-binding, quasi-democratic event and giving it much legitimacy is pretty silly.

Why would VA be halved?  Because Santorum's and Gingrich's campaigns are incompetent/nonexistent and don't give a s**t about ballot access?

As for FL, it's already been halved.  It should be forced to be proportional, but it shouldn't be halved again.

Because nobody turned up? They had embarrassing turnout.

Then we agree on that. I still think VA should get an actual primary.
