Christie visits Israel, meets with Netanyahu
«

Christie is making his first official overseas trip as governor this week, and he's decided to make it to Israel, a perennial stop for American politicians with national ambitions:

This'll add to speculation about either his interest in being chosen as veep in 2012, or in running for prez in 2016, and it comes a few days after Christie said, regarding a potential run for national office, "I'll be much more ready four years from now":

Good. We have to make sure the next generation of leaders (Christie is surprisingly young, born 1962) strives to maintain our relationship with Israel.

G-d bless him.
More and more I am starting to think Governor Christie will be our VP nominee.

Nah. I'd say the Tea Bagger crowd will force the apparently "moderate" Mitt to pick some conservative like Ryan or a Tea Party nut. I doubt Christie's socially moderate views will energize the core base.

This does cause my image of Christie to worsen, but even Carter visited Israel as Governor of Georgia.

How does visiting an ally cause your image of him decrease? (Just curious)

It's absurd that this is to be expected.

I agree- Christie has ruffled some feathers with his association with questionable mosques
