WI might be close(r), MD will be an epic Mittslide.

Agreed.  I think the congressional district situation will be difficult to call early.

I just say the CNN exit polls.  Romney just tied Santorum with the under $50 K crowd.

So far, Mittens is winning all the CD's in MD.  The closest is 18 points.

By the way, why DC is so democratic?

It's filled with government employees.

There is surprisingly good chance Romney will win all the delegates in MD.  He could increase his lead over Santorum by 80 delegates.  Santorum is already speaking.

Anyone else find it odd that Santorum referred to Hessians in his speech... Really... Hessians?

Lot of Germans in PA.

Mittens looks like he's not only one all three states, but he swept the MD CD's.  In terms of delegates it looks like he will increase his lead over Rick by at least 65 delegates, but it might be as high as 80:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qB1kp9adYYE&feature=related

You think that's why Rick mentioned them? Really, J.J.? This is getting painful now...

Of course.  His whole speech was:  Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania.  He's trying to make a stand.

So he mentioned a group of people with a Germanic background that were our enemies? J.J., just leave. Please. Just leave.

A number of them were not our enemies.  There is a fair large German ancestry in PA.  Santorum needs to win in PA, and he's pulling out all the stops.  He might do it in the beauty contest too.

Yes, J.J., I have a brain and am aware of Pennsylvania's strong German population. I'm questioning the absolutely ridiculous idea that he mentioned Hessians - primarily our enemy - to win votes. You really are getting ridiculous now.

A sizable number of the population are descendants of Rhineland Germans, which includes Hessians.

Give it a rest, Phil.  Santorum spent the day in PA and constantly repeated PA themes, including this one.  There is nothing wrong with it.  Santorum needs to win the state that elected him twice, and defeated him once.

So, J.J., he cites a Hessian loss to appeal to those with Hessian ancestry? I refuse to take you seriously anymore. I think you sit at your computer and laugh hysterically as you type this.

And this PA theme was related to the damn Revolutionary War! He still has a national audience, you know. Ever think that's why he's running with that underdog theme?

No, he doesn't have a national audience; that is the problem.  If he really did, he would have been on his mission to Mars.  Roll Eyes

Any news on the CD's in WI?

Mittens has swept them in MD, actually increasing his percentage in his worst one.

Oh, he doesn't. Ok. CNN must have been televising someone that looks and sounds an awful lot like him...

The nation is not his audience.  PA is.

Mittens margin above Rick jumped by 67 at least, without taking into account the RNC members.

The rest of the month, the only potential gains are MO, PA and DE.  Both PA and MO are questionable, even with a beauty contest win.

Will Santorum picked up any delegates from Maryand?

In his best CD in MD, Santorum is down by just over 10 points.  MD was "Romney's Romp," and I expected Rick to win at least one district.

Even counting a home-state boost, the returns in northern and western Maryland don't bode well for Santorum.

Most of MD is not in any PA media market.  One of the two counties Rick won was in the Pittsburgh media market, and the only county in a Pennsylvania media market.  I would also guess than Romney wasn't buying air time in the Pittsburgh media market.

So, Romney 5 CD's, Santorum 3 CD's?
