I know a couple of friends and one family member that has done that... I honestly don't get it.

a) the risk of thugs who know it's a cruising area... seriously.

b) the sheer hygiene issues... I don't even like my shoes spending too much time in a public bathroom...

I honestly think it's more of a 'risky' thing... more than fear of your parents finding out anything.
