His argument (and that of many Catholics) that federally-funded Catholic institutions should be exempt from the federal mandate of providing birth control insurance blatantly goes against the 8-1 SCOTUS decision of Bob Jones University v. United States.

And his "Let's kill the Iranian civillian scientists" is quite ironic considering his "pro-life" stance.

Well, that's it, America. Against abortion? Tough. The Supreme Court ruled on it so don't bother having a contrary opinion.

Inks' entire post really has nothing to do with this thread.

Well he's saying it's an unconstitutional attack on the First Amendment.  I'm sorry, but that's just not true.  He (and many Catholics) are acting like this is unprecedented.  It's not.

But to answer the question, no, he hasn't said more false thinks than any other candidate.  The worst was probably Bachmann or Gingrich.  Saying that if we elect him, we'll see gas at least as low as $2.50 was just a stupid thing to say.  We'll never know if that would've ended up being a lie or not.  Part of me wanted Gingrich to win just to see that never happen and see him scramble to excuse it.

If we get a second recession or worse, gas will go below $2.50, so it wasn't a totally absurd target, hut one that isn't particularly desirable because of what it would take to get there.

It's not absurd, but he had no way of guaranteeing it'd actually get there.  And if he got elected and it never got to $2.50... he'd be a 1-term President quicker than George H.W. Bush.
