What do you say ?

Examples are:

Senator: Rubio
Governor: McDonnell
House: Ryan
Another politician: Bloomberg or Condi
Military: Powell, Petreaus
Someone else: Tim Tebow

I'd say he picks a Senator.

Yes, he will probably pick a senator. And most likely he will make a safe choice, like John Thune or Richard Burr.

I think he'll pick a governor. Mitch Daniels or McDonnell, most likely.

A sitting or former U.S. Senator.

Senator or Representative is the right pick, but they're a little short on rock stars with Romney synergy.

Governors are the fall-back.  Christie could pull it off as a #2 / pit bull.  Daniels as a "key initiatives" guy (translation: budget).

Probably a US Senator, either Rubio or Thune would be the best choices, IMO.

I'd guess a Senator, behind that a Governor.  At the moment, if I had to make a guess, it'd be Rubio.
