Who should become sole ruler of the world? Cheesy

The winners of both polls will run against each other in a general election.

This is an open primary.

My basis were the party descriptions on electionworld.org. As a result, Chirac is now in the same party with Bush, for example. ;-)

I havenīt decided yet, if I do a run-off in the case that none of the candidates gets 50%. But probably I wonīt.

I voted for Howard. If it had to be any of them, I would at least like the national pride boost.

Really? His party is listed as "conservative" on electionworld.org. Well, he is from the moderate wing of the World Conservative Party then. ;-)

The DLP is liberal on most important social issue, compared to republican party, CDU or UMP.

Thanks, didnīt know that. For the purposes of this poll, Koizumi is a "liberal conservative" then. ;-)

But his party is a conservative one?

Even the Wikipedia says so (quote: "The Liberal Democratic party is Japan's largest right-wing and conservative party. Its name is a misnomer; the party is not liberal.").

ok, on economics issue but Koizumi is really moderate. And the LDP is divided into "factions", that of Koizumi is one of most liberal and reformist.

and what is chirac doing up there?

In France his party is the leading conservative . ;-)

In U.S. politics he would probably be considered a RINO though.

Does it concern anyone else that the majority of the posters in here are distinctly not conservative?
