As someone who eagerly reads every email I get from Al, I have to be honest: I don't really understand why he's under the impression that adding an "extra ask" in the P.S. of every message is helpful. I'm not a huge fan of his politics, but I am of his comedy.  I think we need more people like him in politics.

It would have been good it if not for the hackish language used. I usually unsubscribe myself from the email listings of campaigns and political organizations that strive to advance their interests by manipulating people through appeals to their biases and nagging on them for cash contributions. Although at times clever and cute, it is a dreadful waste of ones time to sift through such rubbish.

It sounds exactly like something he would write. Since he wrote an SNL sketch from the campaign trail in '08, it wouldn't surprise me if he wrote this as senator.

Al Franken is hilarious and politically awesome. The only political thing I can hold against him is SOPA/PIPA/etc, and that's understandable, in light of his Hollywood connections.

That would be a bad idea, humour run the risk of being misunderstood, Franken can get away with it because he's a professional comedian, so people are already aware that he's a funny guy and he know the trade.
