I do not know much about the man- but I have read that as he became Oversight Chairman he hired a PR team to make him a national figure and erase controversies from his past... I see him on television ALL the time discussing this or that... do you believe he is trying to gear up for a run?

Well, if so they've been doing a sloppy job.

Hilarious if harmless(-ish) stuff about him in the 70s on wiki.

He could be going for Romney's VP spot; that could be interesting.

The man is a world-class asshole and former car thief with a Gingrichian sense of self-importance. He's also worth as much as half a billion dollars, which would mean the combined net worth of a Romney-Issa ticket gets to where they might as well buy a little country in Central America and be president and VP of it.

I don't see him being a president. I would like to see him as a US Senator but I think he is way too conservative for CA in that spot.
