The People's Party have some roots in ex-Francoist politicians and remnants of the regime after democratization, though admittedly this doesn't have much relevance today (think the ex-communist parties in Eastern Europe).

I like the People's Party just because of Aznar's support of Israel. Which is rare in Spain which has been Anti-Israel in recent years (at least imo)

Yes, Spanish people (even people who vote PP) is anti-Israel, myself included since 2009.
Aznar makes me sick even more that Esperanza Aguirre.... Her wife is the mayor of Madrid now... Where is Spain going?? Sad
