I like to wear sunglasses when it is sunny out but I don't always wear them because sometimes it is nice to show off my face. Tongue

I have nice sunglasses... plus with the Australian sun and the amount of squinting required... one word... wrinkles.

The #1 determinant in whether I wear sunglasses is my degree of inebriation. Sun is merely the most important afterthought.

Sadly I cannot, as I wear prescription spectacles.  However I do tend to avoid the problem by not going outside during the daylight hours, or at least minimizing this sort of hazardous behavior.

Not typically. I only own one pair and I've had them for about 5 years and they're really cheap.

I have no sunglasses. I always thought people looked a bit ridiculous in them.

It's 2012, so I'm obviously obligated to sport a pair of colorful Wayfarers:

^^^^^

I strongly dislike the sensation of an object resting on my face. Thank goodness for contact lenses. I'd be blind as a bat otherwise.

I also have prescription lenses, and I can't avoid daytime driving when I have some light sensitivity. For the last half dozen years I have found frames that have magnetically attached sunglasses designed to fit the frame. Its then easy to switch from outdoor to indoor by pocketing the sunglasses.

Wearing sunglasses is good for your eyes, especially if you live in areas with strong and consistent sunlight. I suppose that isn't a "problem" in Sweden. Tongue

I always wear sunglasses when driving and it's sunny out. And if I know I will be walking around during the day a lot, I usually remember to grab them but they are usually just in my car.

No. I mean I own some but they're not very stylish, and they're kind of tight. I'll probably save up for some decent wayfarers or something in a few months.

I have prescription sunglasses, so I usually wear them.  I also like looking like I'm bringing in a shipment from Columbia.  Wink

I usually wear sunglasses whenever its sunny, but the main reason is to protect the eyes from UV light, especially in CO.  It's ridiculously strong in higher elevations.  Before vacation, I'm gonna pick up myself a pair of Oakley Gascans online.  My eyes have always been sensitive to sunlight.

I think that sounds nice, but alas my choices are somewhat limited here.. partly by what's available, partly by lack of ability to communicate to find very obscure items, and lastly by poverty.

It sounds strange to see you use the word 'dodgy' - it seems a non-archaic Americanism, not what I expect from you.  I do not doubt that your use of this term is dodgier than sunglasses would be..

Only when I'm driving, it's sunny, and I'm wearing contacts; I feel awkward when I hide my face.

Dodgy isn't an Americanism, mon.
