Based on this link, these diagrams show how people vote and what type of products, automobiles, food, clothes people buy. It's an interesting read and it might surprise a few of you.  Some are pretty obvious, Hybrid owners skew to the left.

Haha, my favourite restaurant is Cracker Barrel and I drink a lot of Coke Zero. These people might be onto something.

Some surprising findings based on the vibe I got from the local stores, but if you type in the store name in google maps, it explains most of these. The most surprising ones to me were Eddie Bauer and Nordstrom, but the lack of non-urban Nordstorms explains the difference.

Cracker Barrell and Church's Chicken are polar opposites? That's racist.

Chick-Fil-A is right wing?
Oh yes, the owner is a very strong Christian. They close on Sundays.

Chick-Fil-A is right wing?
It's only in the south. Also the slogan is a cow that says "Eat-mor-chikin", designed to appeal to rednecks with the misspell.

They've donated over $2 million to anti-gay marriage movements.

I was surprised that Pandera Bread had a right wing tilt on the diagram.

We have a bunch of Chick-fil-a around Denver, it's popular.  They're starting to pop up everywhere in Phoenix, LA, and San Diego.

Would it kill them to make the charts legible? The writing is minuscule.

At any rate, it looks like I watch both the most Democratic TV show (30 Rock) and the most Republican program (Saturday Night Football) every week. Interesting. 30 Rock, while not overtly political, certainly isn't shy about imparting its worldview. College football is obviously apolitical, but it makes sense that it would have a right-wing audience given that it's huge in the South and barely a thing in the Northeast.

I'm not sure if this new tendency to appeal to the apparent inherent evil of Xahar in all things even remotely related to forum policing or this damn game is especially helpful.

Haha, very interesting. I don't fit my profile at all in a lot of ways. I listen to news/talk and urban contemporary on the radio; I drive a Toyota; I drink Dr. Pepper, Blue Moon, and Natty Light (at parties, not by choice); I eat (occasionally, at least) at Chick-Fil-A, Domino's, and Cracker Barrel; the only channel I ever watch with any frequency is Comedy Central. Absolutely nothing that applies to me in the "high turnout, Democratic skew" quadrant.

Chick-Fil-A is right wing?

My fraternity at Tulane voted entirely for Obama in 2008, except for one guy that voted for Roger Calero (or maybe it was Gloria LaRiva, I don't remember). Not a representative sample, of course; when people discussed politics at the national conferences I attended there seemed to be somewhat of a liberal tilt overall, though most of the big southern schools were very conservative.

Notable Sigma Chi politicians, on the other hand: Jack Layton, Steny Hoyer, Ike Skelton, Mo Udall, John Garamendi... Grin (but also Barry Goldwater, Jon Huntsman, Jim Gerlach, Bob Corker, Lamar Alexander, so more of an even split I suppose).

I didn't know a single frat guy at Wake that voted Democrat. If they did, they didn't say anything for fear of the consequences.

The rest of these things kind of make sense. All the TV shows I watch are liberal friendly though. Not my car.
