Our numbers are dwindling. Our words are confused.
Some of them have been twisted by the enemy
until they can no longer be recognized.

Now what is wrong, or false, in what we have said?
Just some parts, or everything?
On whom can we still rely? Are we survivors, cast
away by the current? Will we be left behind,
no longer understanding anyone and being understood by no one?
Must we rely on luck?

This is what you ask. Expect
no answer but your own.

Wait, he was alive all this time?

Wait, he was alive all this time?
Yup, they just kept him in a freezer for 30 years, when they didn't need him. Then the government had him reheated a couple of years ago, so they could brag about how Algeria had the eldest statesman in the Magrebh countries.

Will be referred to soon as Oscar Niemeyer syndrome... assuming the venerable architect is not immortal, which may well be.

Such assumption is a blasphemy.

His opposition to the Iraq War in 2002-2003 made some headlines, as did his appointment to the African Union's "Council of the Wise" but yeah other than that he basically hadn't done anything notable since he was overthrown in 1965.
