Cumberland, Maryland
DanielX supporters gather to see large brick wall onstage.  Suddenly they hear sounds of people with sledgehammers beating on the other side of the wall.  Soon enough the wall crashes down and a cloaked figure walks out.  He pulls back the hood and reveals that he is in fact...newly appointed attorney-general Harry!  The audience gasps.  He begins:
Hi yall.  I'm Harry, a former senator and vice president of our great nation, and I'm now serving as attorney general.  The mideast governor's election is coming up soon, and many people are writing off DanielX and declaring Peter Bell the winner.  Well don't listen to them.  DanielX sees that all people aren't the same.  He knows you aren't all just "bricks in the wall."  He is the only candidate in this race who can appeal to vastly different people, from Bono to Philip to Texasgurl to me.  No one else has nearly as wide a range of supporters.  Don't count out DanielX.  If I lived in the Mideast, I'd vote for him, and I encourage yall to do the same.  So without further adieu, I introduce the next governor of the Mideast, DanielX!

Harry, I think the only person in Maryland that supports DanielX is currently on stage, or will be soon.

(DanielX shows up, a bit late)

Thank you, Mr. Attorney General.

While we do not always agree on the issues, both of us can agree on one thing: people should be free to make their own decisions as to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Government all to often only gets in the way with this.

People are seen as constituencies, groups, not individuals. As mere bricks in a wall - a lot of very different walls. There's a 'labor wall', a 'gay wall', an 'african-american' wall, a 'poor' wall, and by god even an 'investor's wall'. Each is supposedly created of groups that think alike, and vote like flocks of birds. I've got news for people who think like that: Atlasia is not an office building. You can't just assemble brick walls and expect to have a solid structure. Because, unlike bricks, every Atlasian is an individual - Harry, Philip, Bono, Texasgurl, myself, and every single one of you. Each individual chooses how to vote by their own choice - not by the color of their skin, not by their profession or creed, not by their sexual preferences, but by the content of their character -by a person's desires, needs, wants, thoughts, and the advice of those whom they trust.

My campaign is centered around choice. Social choice: no man or woman should be denied their right to make their own decisions in life. Government is not a nanny, not one to decide if a man or woman should be a success or failure at life. That rests on an individual's decision alone. Whether he or she wastes their money at brothels, casinoes, and pot shops, or puts in an honest living working for a family (whatever composition it may be), it is the choice of the individual, perhaps influenced by their family and friends, and their situation in life. Not to be doled out by government. The same fits in economic choice: a man or woman must be allowed to spend their hard-earned dollars in whatever manner they wish.

I stand here, today, at the beginning of the National Road, where, nearly two centuries ago, many Americans made their own choice: to leave the cities of the East Coast, and head on west, settling through the Mideast, from Wheeling to Vandalia. Some later headed further out, into the Midwest or West; others stayed, and are the ancestors of many Mideasterners. Perhaps their choices had consequences, many men and women made fortunes or died on the long travels, and I'm sure the Amerindians didn't deserve to lose most of their land. However, what is important is this: those individuals made their decisions, and their decisions built much of the Mideast.

Now, you all have a decision to make. Who to choose to be the next Governor of the Mideast: Me, or Peter Bell. I cannot force you to vote for me, I am not a dictator, nor do I intend to be one. I am hoping that I can convince individuals like you (or unlike you) to vote for me. If you prefer Peter Bell, that's your choice, and other then attempting to convince you otherwise, there's nothing I can really do about it.

Thank you all, and may God (whomever he, shey, they, or it is/are) and Dave bless Atlasia, and the Mideast Region!

I believe that people should only vote in their own districts, despite what some of your supporters have believed in the past.  Smiley

To be fair to Harry, I'm the one with the grudge against him (for all his kniving scandals which are too numerous to list here), I think he just reciprocates the grudge, which is fair in the grand scheme.

I'll be voting for DanielX and I don't have a grudge! Cheesy

I'd just rather have a conservative Governer although if Peter Bell wins it's still ok, he'd make a great Governor too.
