http://www.politico.com/blogs/click/2012/04/newt-gingrich-bitten-by-a-penguin-120698.html

"Newt Gingrich loves animals, but sometimes love hurts. A small penguin at the St. Louis Zoo bit the former House speaker on the finger last week, the AP reports:

The Republican presidential candidate is sporting a small bandage on his finger after getting nipped by a small penguin during his tour of the zoo on Friday. Gingrich was in St. Louis to speak during the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting.

During his visit to the popular zoo in Forest Park, he was treated to a behind-the-scenes visit with two Magellanic penguins. One of them nipped Gingrich on the finger.

Zoo spokeswoman Susan Gallagher says a small bandage was all the medical care required."

Could Gingrich gain enough sympathy votes to come back?!

He needs to bring civilization (possibly) to those wild beasts.

I say we make the penguin the GOP nominee - he'd clearly do better than the other candidates.

Gingrich was ... to speak during the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting.

...penguins ... nipped Gingrich on the finger...

Good thing for Gingrich he wasn't treated to a behind-the-scenes visit with the Grizzly Bears.  (Whether it is a good thing for the people of the world is another matter.)

Up until now, I had always assumed that Gingrich is The Penguin (Danny DeVito version).

The penguin must dissaprove of Gingrich's policy concerning carbon emmisions.

I thought Mitt Romney was Two-Face, since he has been on both sides of a number of issues.
