An idea for Convention Time

This is just an idea I have...

A lot of us have a lot to say regarding the 2012 election, and why we think our candidate would be best. So here's my proposal:

Have a "Mock Convention." Have people sign up to give speeches. For several days, Romney supporters can make speeches in a convention in support of Romney. A few days later, Obama supporters can make their voices heard, then a couple days later, those supporting 3rd parties. Have some sort of criteria that your post must be like, 100 or so words long, and anything less than will be deleted).

It could go here, though it wouldn't be as active. I was thinking in the main 2012 Presidential election board. After the conventions, we could open up polls on who gave the best speeches for both parties, then vote on who gave the best overall message.

I wished this happened. Is it too late? The fact that I saw the conventions gives me a better idea of what is going on.
