Some real momentum appears to be building up in favor of Mitt Romney's candidacy (no joke):

You mean to say Republicans are
uniting
around the party's nominee?

The early campaign means very very little. McCain thrashed Obama in the early months but when Obama got going there was no contest.

Well, I'd heard a theory during the primaries that once Romney cinched the nomination, the Keystone Phils and jmfcsts would stay home, Republican turnout would be very low, and Obama would win in a landslide. It seems this is not shaping up to be true (though the early campaign doesn't matter much).

Not really; McCain's best times were late July/August/early September; early on Obama was the one doing fairly well, before stumbling and then recovering.

It won't. Maybe if you knew anything about post-primary advantages, you'd understand why Romney is currently enjoying a slight bump. But please, do continue to troll this board- it is what you do best.

Last I checked, November 2012 hasn't happened yet.
If it has, that was a better nap than I thought.

With respect to California
Hey, with high unemployment, gas prices on the rise, disaster of Obamacare becomes widely understood, America's national debt spiralling out of control, it could happen.

Here's a related and (I think) more interesting question: Has Romney's favorability rating recovered among independent votes?
