The term "Reagan Democrat" is the first thing that comes to mind. It's easily the dumbest phrase in the American political lexicon.

Oh and I complain about it all the time it doesn't even need to be mentioned here, but stupid speculation about VP candidates, especially when based around the idea that some type of neighboring state advantage exists and that the primary reason for the selection of a VP candidate is if they can lock up their home state, which becomes quite inane when you consider how many recent VP candidates were even from swing states.
