It's laughable that you'd suggest IrishDem especially since he created a scandal while in office by creating a member and registering in Fantasy elections to save his career. You laugh at people that take it too seriously? Well after pulling something like that, I think you should start laughing at IrishDem.

It's just for fun.

Some who shall remain nameless seem not to understand that concept, however. Smiley

Mitty, I was just bringing up some of the things he has done and was wondering if you still thought he was worthy of office on the forum. That's all.

Also, Walter's point was that people take it way too seriously. All I said was that IrishDem was the one to take it way too seriously by doing anything he could to win re-election to a  position.

I just found it a tad ironic that in a thread started to criticize people for taking fantasy elections so seriously, you then went ahead in a frenzy about people cheating and so on.

A frenzy? I made a statement about someone that I thought took it too seriously. I don't think we should continue this.

Walter has proven my point about how newly registered members have no idea what is going on in fantasy elections, and cannot make an intelligent vote.

Even a game has rules; this was kind of like a college sports team shaving points.

Walter,

I originally opposed the fantasy elections but capitulated to them as many of the most active posters in the rest of the forum were also active in the elections and it became a regular topic of conversation.    It gives me something to make graphics for in my spare time Smiley

I think your outside observations are, to some extent, misguided.  If someone is going to cheat for a silly little fantasy election on a web site, there is no telling what they would do if something bigger was at stake.

Of course. What IrishDem did was wrong and all, but Fantasy Politics is all and all too negative, and Keystone made my point for me.
