François Hollande and Jean-Luc Mélenchon won the forum's first round, so both have gone onto the second. Voting closes on May 6th.

If I were European, I'd probably oppose the EU from the left. I like both, but I'd vote Melenchon in the first round and Hollande in the second.

I think he said something quite nutty about Cuba sometimes ago. He also often praises China for no precise reason except for not being the Evil Imperialiszt USA.

One of the reasons I'm for Hollande. Another is solidarity with a fellow party from the Socialist International.

Well, since Le Pen is gone and there's no other options obviously Melenchon. In the real life I'm "rooting" for Hollande and hoping for FN gains at parliamentary level, for reasons that should be pretty obvious.

That has got to be one of the most retarded proposals I have read on this forum.

Don't worry, I'm sure more will crop up shortly.

I voted Melenchon on the basis of him not being Hollande, but I looked it him a bit more. Definitely Hollande.
