Y'all do realize what's going on here, right? People are seeing this:
Quote from: Governor Napoleon on May 01, 2012, 07:56:11 pm
Santa Fe, New Mexico
New Mexico, it is so great to be here today. You know, this is my first political visit out here in the Pacific Region. A great region, of course, it is lovely here. Lots of trees. I like trees.
Anyway, we're all in agreement that Atlasia needs a leader, someone who is courageous enough to do what is right, rather than what is popular. This campaign is about bringing Atlasians together. We recognize the problem, but I see no solutions! We must reject the status quo and embrace the future- and I am not talking about the current administration when I say this. I am talking about our attitude, our approach, our investment in our country. At a time when veteran members are leaving in droves, new members are hesitant to register, and active members aren't as active as before, I've been here trying to make things work. When my region had a political system that was broken and ineffective, I didn't sit on the sideline. I worked with others in my region who saw what I saw and together we fought back. Inactive governor? We can do something about that. Outdated constitution? We did something about that, too.
Now we have problems at the federal level. Since the last presidential election, five Senate seats have been vacated prematurely! That's 50% of the Senate right there! And the Senate debates now, well, let's be honest, they don't come close to the debates we had in the summer and fall of 2011. Even now, the biggest debate in the Senate is a bill I introduced! That's why I have brought in a team that I think can really help energize the politics of this nation. My running-mate Kalwejt is a bold personality with a creative streak that we desparately need for this game, and he has the right attitude about the game: we can work with anyone if we need to.
When I saw the health care reform proposals that were clearly unable to fill the holes in the system, I took action. I reached across the aisle to RPP Senator MOPolitico, who I had absolutely no previous connection with and sat down and we threw ideas back and forth. We had jobs to do, so we did it. We made the tough choices that others might have been afraid to propose, or that might have been unpopular, but now, months later, we're on track to reform health care into a fair and sustainable program that still keeps our nation healthy as ever.
Atlasia has a choice in this election. We can step in to a future where the game is lively and exciting, or we could fade away into permanent decline. This is what we are voting for, and a vote for Napoleon and Kalwejt in June 2012 will lead Atlasia down a new path- a more active, inclusive game where people
want
to participate in the hottest political and cultural debates of the day. A vote for Napoleon and Kalwejt is a vote for an Atlasian Renaissance. It's easier than it sounds, after all.
Thank you New Mexico. I can't wait to see more of the great Pacific Region as I campaign across the country these next two months.
With this as the rebuttal.

SoIA 20RP12 spoke to a crowd of roughly 15,600 supporters in Manchester, NH at 9 AM eastern time this morning. The following is a transcript of the event:
Good morning New Hampshire! Thank you all for waking up early to come listen to me ramble on about boring stuff.
-chuckles-
But on a serious note, we are starting a revolution here. We are gaining steam and actually have a shot at the Presidency. Our message is sounding loud and clear throughout every corner of every city in this great country. People are invigorated by the idea of liberty and freedom. They are invigorated by the idea of activity and leadership. They are invigorated by the thought of having a President who will whip Atlasia into shape and drastically reform our system. They know that I'm the only guy in this race to do it.
Now, I'd like to give Napoleon, Tweed, Clarence, Oakvale and now Snowstalker their credit. They all bring very interesting ideas and a wide variety of personalities to this race. Napoleon is a left-winger who garners bi-partisan support for being active and fulfilling his promises. Tweed is a revolutionary voice to this race. While polarizing, he stands his ground in the face of criticism. Clarence is an active Senator who cares much about this wonderful nation and would certainly make a fine President. Oakvale has been here for quite some time and seeks to be an independent voice in revamping our nation. Snowstalker is a fighter for the middle class and earns much respect for it.
But ladies and gentlemen, I am a fighter. For every Atlasia. I'm a fighter for the cause of freedom and I've always been an independent voice in this race. When I picked Winston Disraeli to be my VP, I picked him not only because he's a good friend, but because he loves this country as much as I do. Winston is an Atlasian giant, an icon if you will. He can unite the left and libertarians, and I can unite the right and libertarians. This, essentially, is the perfect ticket. We are economic opposites, he is a socialist and I am a capitalist. But we put those disagreements aside because we love this country. We care more about saving this country, for you
-points into crowd
and you
-points into crowd-
and every single person both present and not present here today. For future generations. For those who seek to aspire to something great, know that there will always be an opportunity to reach for the stars.
As cliche as it sounds, we are the underdog and we've got a long climb to the top. But I know our message will ultimately rise above the rest of the field and crown us victor. Winston and I have been travelling around this great nation for a short amount of time, but I can speak for both of us when I say that we have experienced some of the greatest moments of our lives and met some of the most wonderful people we will ever meet. Normal Atlasians. Like you all here. Those who struggle to make ends meet and those who can do it comfortably. We knew what we wanted when we entered this race. We wanted to reform. But we could never explain exactly why. Well now we can. For Mary Thomas, the 31 year old single mother of two young boys who lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who needs to work two jobs, one in the morning and one at night, just to be able to feed her children. For Robert Halls, a 50 year old construction worker in Harvey, Illinois who cares for his mother who is dying of cancer every single day and works tirelessly to be able to afford the bare minimum of the medications she needs. For Christine Butler, a 45 year old woman in Green Bay, WI who gives 30% of her annual income, which exceeds $5 million dollars, to homeless shelters around the country. For these and many others, we want to reform Atlasia and make it a better place.
We want every Atlasian to prosper and live freely. Moreover, we want our legislators to actually legislate. Recently, my regional Senator was expelled for inactivity. It's a shame to see such a bright character lose his job because he wasn't active. Not only do we need an active President--which we do have one and I commend Polnut on the job he's done--but we need an active Senate and we need active Assemblies in the region. We need active Governors and cabinet members and everyone who works in the public sector. We NEED activity.
But most of all, we need activity from the Atlasian voters. You guys. We need you to stand up and voice your opinions. We need you to vote out the inactive leaders and vote in active ones. I can stand before you today and give my solemn vow that I will be an active leader. Every single job I've gotten into in my political career, I have been active. I've been enthusiastic. I've been overjoyed to serve this great nation in any way I could.
So now I want to be your President. I want to be your commander in chief. I want to stand up in front of the rest of the world and say
'we are Atlasia and we will NOT back down!'
We will not succumb to pressure. We will not succumb to threats. This great nation deserves a President who will stand up in the face of every challenge and solve it with confidence and ease. We need a President who will unite the left and right and lead them into working
together
to solve our nation's problems. We need a President who will be active and bi-partisan. We need a President who will lead this country back to greatness. I am the only candidate in this race today who can and will do that. I humbly ask for your support today to help restore this great nation. I believe in Atlasia...do you? Thank you very much, New Hampshire!
