RNC spokeswoman Alexandra Franceschi told The Fernando Espuelas Show that the Republican party's economic platform in 2012 is going to be the same as it was during the Bush years, "just updated."

It's kind of like the healthcare plan. Americans approve of the individual aspects, but not of the whole thing combined. Similarly, if you ask people if they approve of the 'Bush economic platform', they will say they don't. When you ask about the individual points of what Bush did, more will approve than disapprove. So, yes, it is a winner.

Yea, and most Americans approved of the prescriptive drug part of Bush's economic policy and that's the only thing that did well under Bush.

Good move, I'm guessing 90% of the public has no idea what that means and will be thrilled to hear the same old failed policies.

Might as well. No one reads those things anyway.

Yeah, that's nothing like Bush's policies.

So how exactly will it be updated? More tax cuts for the rich? Opposition of RomneyCare ObamaCare? Pretending to care about the deficits?

Most Americans polled in favor of EGTRRA in 2001.

My reading of what OC said was that the prescription drug plan was the only thing that Bush did on the economy that worked, more or less, not the only thing that he did that was popular.

A shameless agrarian collectivist with no respect for private property or individual rights.

His idea of freedom is - it is a bad thing and should be stopped at all costs.

Nathan-land.  As much fun as watching paint dry... literally.
