Not a surprise. And it will happen to every country having neoliberal politics.

And since I don't see Cameron changing policies, the third dip will be in a couple of years.

They don't bother about the recession, as long than the wealthy have their tax cuts, there's no problem.

Yep, "two arrogant posh boys who don't know the price of milk - who show no remorse, no contrition and no passion to want to understand the lives of others".

Wow, you mean unnecessary austerity measures taken for no reason but to prove an ideological point backfired spectacularly? No one would have guessed that.

Well, Labour would make it worse, or slow the recovery. (Actually, the current government does that too, but Labour would be even worse).

Huh? There is no recovery to slow. Things are getting worse.

I'm discussing the future (presumably after the election of 2015) where Labour has taken power.

Yeah, it's at least somewhat likely that Labour would be cutting even more right now.

Let this be a lesson to Republicans here the next time they sing the virtues of austerity....

That's like saying that we can't change doctors because the new one might fail to resuscitate the dead body.

Cameron has three years to turn this around. Plus he wouldn't have attempted austerity had Labour not been so fiscally irresponsible.

That's a very morbid/unpleasant analogy. After all, a recession isn't death.

The economy was recovering until the Tories got in. Anyone who blames Labour for this is a right wing hack who refuses to blame the real culprit - Tory spending cuts.

If the Tories were so concerned about 'fiscal responsibility', they wouldn't have backed the Iraq War.

Can't wait until Harper's boneheaded policies cause the same thing here.

£10 billion to the IMF, plus a tax cut for the rich - there is no austerity. The deficit is an excuse from the Tories to destroy the welfare state and wipe out every inch of progress made by the working and middle classes.
