A small region of stuff that didn't fit anywhere else.

I wouldn't touch the Carnival cruise ships with a 10 foot pole. Too many things have gone wrong in the last ~6 months for me to even consider it anymore.

Indeed. It's a horribly sh**tty place, the people are nice enough I guess...and the food is arguably the best regional cuisine in the nation (maybe the entire Western Hemisphere), but you can't go outside for more than 5 minutes between May and September without dying.

The unique misfortune of the Palestinian refugees is that they are a weapon in what seems to be a permanent war...today, in the Middle East, you get a repeated sinking sensation about the Palestinian refugees: they are only a beginning, not an end. Their function is to hang around and be constantly useful as a goad. The ultimate aim is not such humane small potatoes as repatriating refugees.
I left.

I've lost interest in the forum and I've wasted far too much time here.
To those I consider forum friends, it's been nice and I hope to keep contact in some form.
Cheers.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm praying for another black-yellow majority, and for the SPD to get shattered. It's exactly what it deserves.
