Elections for Russian Opposition Coordination Council will be held on 20-21 October 2012. 45 Council members will be elected by block voting from 4 lists: 30 from general list and 5 from each "ideological curiae": left, liberal and nationalist (nothing prevents leftists, liberals and nationalists from being nominated in general list though 1 candidate can be nominated only in 1 list). Voters will get 4 ballot papers, one for each list.
Tens of thousands (maybe more than 100 thousands) expected to vote in this elections.
I'm not sure if Coordination Council can become an important part of non-system opposition movement (once opposition created a parliament-like body, so called National Assembly, but now its activity is absolutely not visible) but it will be interesting to see who (and what political organizations) are really popular among grassroots opposition supporters. However it should be noted that some opposition leaders decided to boycott elections.
