Tie.  Mainly because I have a big boy job, and I'm an adult.

One of the supervisors at my job wears band shirts as frequently as I do and the only people who ever wear ties, including the management, are people who are obviously doing the whole "wearing a tie 'ironically'" hipster thing.

The band shirt maybe once a month, a tie only every couple months or so - whenever there is a conference or special event.

Band shirt every day. I last wore a tie when I left high school, three years ago.

Tie, but I only wear a tie once every few months nowadays.  I don't wear band shirts ever.

I don't get this irony thing.

But a tie. At least three times a month. Hopefully by five years it shall be daily. Never worn a band shirt.

BRTD, you are an HP. Those who lambaste ties and suits are at the vanguard of the destruction of society. They are the hallmarks of civilization, of culture, and you hold a contempt for them matched only by my approbatory fervor. I respect you, but I can never like you as long as that remains your position.

Now this is an FF.

And so is this guy. It also helps the tailor is called- well, what do you think?

Not that I ever wear band shirts, really, but how many jobs require you wear a tie these days?

Band shirt, ties are pretty obnoxious unless they're required although I'm a fan of blazers, dressy shirts/pants.

Here in the tropics we normally just wear slacks and nice button down shirts - about half the year long sleeve shirts are ok, but during the 'summer' (now) you really have to go for the short sleeves.  I only wear a blazer or tie if there is a special event, and mainly because the college insignia is on the blazer.

I suppose this slacks-and-button-down is normal enough for profs anywhere in the world.

That's the uniform of professors here, for the most part.

Ties are just too constricting and a hassle. Why anyone considers them necessary at this point, beyond ceremonial events, is beyond me.

Ties.  If I ever wear an advertisement, I expect to be paid for the privilege, not to have to shell out extra money because of a band logo or photo.

On a normal week, at least once a week, as my school has it as part of their mass uniform. I just wore a bow tie today since for a concert I had to wear a tux. However, I do often frequently wear a Pink Floyd t-shirt for track, so it could be closer than I thought.
