If that was an option- why didn't you make it one in the poll?

Forget about making it as one in the poll.

Probably the birther; if there was a hint of doubt between the two, I would vote for the birther to prevent PETA-ism, but if the birther's election was safe, as it probably would be, I would vote third party.

The birther will easily be able to paint the truther as 'too left-wing' and win in a small landslide.

The birther also is far right on everything and that includes the drug war. Won't work in this tl.

At least there's some suspicious things about 9/11. Obama's birth certificate is pretty boring.

Here's the sorts of things that encouraged the truthers.
1. Bush ignoring memo titled "Bin Laden determined to strike in US"
2. PNAC called for "a new Pearl Harbor" so that we could attack Iraq
3. Bush had some pipeline deal with the Taliban
4. Bush ignored all of Richard Clarke's warnings.
5. That an FBI investigator was concerned about that Zacarias Moussaoui wanted to fly a plane into the World Trade Center but his concerns were ignored.
6. Max Cleland resigned from the 9/11 commission because it was a whitewash.

Oh yeah, and if you ever hear Donald Rumsfeld say "terrorists could attack somewhere vaguely near in the not too distant future", start running.

I don't really think he'd be very different from some of the more extrrrrreme Tea Partiers, and he'd be running against a far-left candidate who he could easily paint with his own brush if he was any good at politics.

You make the birther sound a little more sane. Maybe if he was someone who was obnoxious about his wealth and violently and decadently campaigned against abortion, the truther would have a chance.

Couldn't the same thing be said about the birther. Both groups mouth off anti government rhetoric.
