(1) What is your ideological affiliation? What is your partisan affiliation (if any)?

(2) What TV, print and non-print media do you get your news from?

(3) What is your religious affiliation and how often do you attend services?

(4) Do you own a gun?

Do any of these "stick out" in terms of your political views? (i.e. a conservative Republican who reads the NYT; a liberal Democrat who owns a gun and attends church every week).

Guess I ought to answer this since I started it.

1. Moderate Independent (neoliberal on economic issues; civil libertarian on social issues; realist on foreign policy issues).

2. TV: CNN and CNBC; Papers: Houston Chronicle, NY Times; Magazines: The Economist, Bloomberg Businessweek; Online: Slate, Politico, Texas Tribune

3. grew up attending Community of Christ (small, fairly progressive LDS denomination) and United Methodist services; identify as a generic Protestant but haven't been to church in quite some time

4. Never owned or handled a gun, though I have always wanted to try skeet shooting; I also tend to be relatively anti-gun control for the same reason I'm pro-choice and pro-same-sex marriage - at the end of the day it really isn't any of my business
