How long does it take for Death Points to drop off?

How long does it take?  I have at the moment 48, so I can't really say anything for fear of getting more.

(hopefully asking how long it takes for death points to drop off is not a death-pointable offense)

90 days. I'm at 41 because Inks got all fussy about me insulting veterans, but a bunch are dropping off soon so I'm not too worried.

Good lord, I have ages to wait.  according to the web site which tells you what the date was 90 days ago, that date was January 30th.  So, my first death-points which will drop off after that will be from February 23.. so I have until May 23 before I can come back from the brink, and then only by a few points!

Anyway at 50 death points per 90 days, we can only survive with about 16 death-points per month, and I'm afraid that doesn't give much room for any expression.

Your Highness, "death points" is a term we subcreatures use mockingly, seeing that despite the Mods attempt to scare the cowardly masses into thinking infraction points are "bad" and could lead to being banned, death points have never been fatal; but are rather simply a byproduct which has oozed out of the overzealous tyrannical boils that have blighted this Great Forum like Hell itself.

Dude, relax, I have 7 death points dating back almost a year.  Until I get infracted again it will still show as 7.......in fact if I get 2 death points for something my total will show 2.

Gramps is right.  And there's no harm in having those death points there.  It just keeps the system from having to refresh the count for the 5000 accounts (or whatever the number of accounts is).

It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.  Look - the complaint that this stuff doesn't refresh automatically is quite ridiculous from a computing perspective.  We already deal with slowness on the forum at times.  If we had automatic refreshing of points, it'd be a disaster of a script.

It doesn't matter. I've got 19. That's a good thirty (I think) under the mod review limit, so I'm not worried. If you've got five points that don't even "count" any more, what's the big deal?
