This forum also used to be a place very much in touch with political reality as a whole but not anymore just earlier I was reading that the average gauge of electoral votes for Obama is going to be around 310-350

Round 3
Usual rule
Fernando Henrique Cardoso
FHC was very overrated, both as Finance Minister and President. His claims he "invented" Plano Real are ridiculous (sure, he did nice job seeling it to media, but there were economist that developed plan and Itamar, that ordered it).

Round 4
Usual rule
Damn, this is getting really hard now.
I vote to eliminate Goulart. I like Jango, but Kubitschek, Itamar and Lula were far more accomplished. Not Jango's fault, but someone have to go

Yeah, but its a consequence of your creation of two pools. The four remaining guys are the ones I wanted as the final 4. They are all better than any of the guys from the Old Republic.

True. I'll consider merging them again into one vote after this one ends.
What do you think?

It would be too confusing now that you made the split. Also I think people would eliminate the old guys first, so you would get basically the same order of elimination, just with the Old Republic decided before the modern republic.
Keep them separate. But this pool will be the moral final!
Regarding my vote Ill go with Juscelino Kubitschek, even though I know this will be a controversial choice. He was a great modernizer, but on the negative side there is corruption, inflation, Brasilia and prioritizing roads over railroads. Also the environmental and cultural consequences of opening up the Amazon region without a comprehensive and realistic strategy for protecting the Indians and the environment.
(this may not have been possible under the circumstances, but he could have done far more)
