Greenlandic prime ministers - KUUPIK KLEIST is survivor!

This is a (potentially) fast survivor since Greenland has only had 4 PMs since the establishment of home rule in 1979. You have 3 Social Democrats and 1 Socialist to choose from, so this is not a good game for Conservatives.
Rev. Jonathan Motzfeldt
, 1979-1991, 1997-2002 Siumut ("Forward") (eliminated, round 1)
Lars Emil Johansen
, 1991-1997, Siumut, ("Forward") (eliminated, round 3)
Hans Enoksen
, 2002-2009, Siumut, ("Forward") (eliminated, round 2)
Kuupik Kleist
, 2009-, Inuit Ataqatigiit (Inuit Community - or "Humans that stick together" as it litterally means. Which is a great name for a Socialist party IMO!)
Round 1:
Normal round. Eliminate 1 PM.
By vote:
Enoksen, since his forced Greenlandization strategy set modernization and educational standards back a decade or two.
In order to avoid a coin toss I change my vote to Jonathan Motzfeldt. The high level of nepotism, corruption and the brutal power struggles/purges inside his own party probably makes him a worthy candidate for the first elimination, even if Enoksens results where worse.
Ill give you a revote, if anybody are unhappy with this.

"Father of the nation" and alleged rapist. Interesting choice.

Lars Emil Johansen.
Sounds far more boring than the other two (even though alcoholic).

Ive met him and he is a pretty charismatic guy with a great sense of humour, and "Laarsi" has the best record of actual results during his time in office.

Result of round 1: Jonathan Motzfeldt is eliminated.
My vote in round 2: Hans Enoksen
On the positive side he was uncorrupt and less nepotistic than his predecessors, but his lack of formal education, knowledge of other languages than Greenlandic and narrow outpost worldview, made him unqualified to run a modern country.
His idea of an equal pace of development all over Greenland was well intended, but transferring scarce resources from the towns to remote outposts hampered developmet and progress. Also living standards in the outposts didn't really improve significantly, because he simply "spread the butter to thin".
By discriminating against the towns he alienated large segments of the voters - especially young people - and his party lost its dominant position in Greenlandic politics.
Forced Greenlandization lowered standards in education and administration and set back development quite a bit.

Result of round 2:
Hans Enoksen is eliminated
Round 3. The Grand Final!
The contestants:
Lars Emil "Laarsi" Johansen
Pro: Charismatic "village boy" from the "founding father" generation of Greenland politicians, who united his party behind him after Motzfeldts internal feuds, cleaned up most of the Reverends mess and created an efficient administration, preceded over economic growth and has a tolerant and inclusive view of who is a Greenlander. A practical moderate nationalist who got things done.
Contra: Alcoholic, nepotism and some scandals (though not on Motzfeldt level).
Kuupik Kleist
Pro: Greenlands first academic premier, smart guy and the architect of "self-rule", very ambitious. Uncorrupt, managed to break the Siumut one party rule and has avoided their camaraderie and nepotism.
Contra: Few concrete results yet. Despite being half Danish (or because of it...) he bases Greenlandic identity on an ethnic criteria and wants the country to be monolingual.
My vote:
Lars Emil Johansen
, but its a close race. Kuupik will probably be a better PM in the long run than Laarsi, but he is not there yet.
