Except looking at this guy's profile, it would be in his best interest to vote Republican. If for whatever reason he ignores that and votes for Obama, then yes, I'd say he's buying into the hype.

For example, Warren Buffet is buying into the hype.

What else would you call going against your best interests to vote for the popular celeb?

I'm glad you admit that Republicans are entirely devoted to serving the interests of the wealthier. At least you are aware of this.

However, it is fairly possible that some wealthy people, such as Buffett, would be ready to sacrifice a tiny bit of their enormous wealth for common interest.
