Hypothetical Voter:
Name: John Stevens
Age: 73
Race: White
Sex: Male
Place of birth: Akron, Ohio
Place of residence: Phoenix, Arizona
Education: High school graduate
Occupation: Retired car dealership manager
Personal income: $23,000/year
Family: Wife (70) is a retired customer service representative (personal income: $16,000/year), 6 children (ages 47, 45, 44, 42, 40, and 37), none living at home
Household/family income: $39,000/year
Religion: Catholic
Past votes: 1960-Kennedy, 1964-Johnson, 1968-Humphrey, 1972-Nixon, 1976-Carter, 1980-Reagan, 1984-Reagan, 1988-Bush, 1992-Clinton, 1996-Clinton, 2000-Bush, 2004-Bush, 2008-McCain

More than likely, this man will vote for Romney. If he has voted Republican in three elections, Obama's four years in office probably wouldn't be enough to sway his vote. If he is catholic, and especially an older catholic, he is probably strongly opposed to the Obama administration's new rules on contraception access. The only thing that might sway him is the Ryan budget, which will drastically restructure many federal safety nets (i.e. medicare vouchers). If Ryan becomes Romney's running mate, there is a good chance he may vote Obama, but barring that I think he's a solid Romney voter.
