Office of A-Bob: Gubernatorial Endorsement
«
on:
May 01, 2012, 03:47:09 pm »
Welcome to the office.
Over the next week I will formulate a decision about my plans to re-enter Atlasian politics in the Assembly. There has been a great amount of inactivity in our region, and I myself have been part of the problem having largely been absent for the last year. This summer though, I will be able to give attention back to the region I love.
Some of the possible long-term goals that I would like to accomplish
*Passing the regional budget
*Specifying Department purposes, priorities, and allocation of funds from the budget
*Any issues the GM comes up with and until then look into more solutions concerning
-Crime prevention
-Education improvement
-Mideast energy
-Infrastructure updating
-Agriculture
I am exited to participate once again in Atlasian politics no matter my decision on running. Thank you for stopping by
A-Bob

Fellow citizens,
Moments ago I declared my candidacy for Mideast Assembly. I announce her today in one of our largest public schools. While candidates and elections come and go, we must remember why we do it. These students our the future of our region. Not only must we build a successful budget, balancing the needs of the people with the fiscal health of this region, but we must build the strongest education system the nation and the world has seen. We will debate economic and fiscal policy, we will debate infrastructure and health care, we will debate the environment and energy. What truly matters, is the sustainability of a strong Mideast with a bright future for these students. And so, I enthusiastically announce my candidacy to return to the Mideast Assembly. It is time for an active government.

Congrats on your election!
I'm looking forward to working with you and the other Assemblymembers. I also may have occasional questions about the governorship, if you don't mind.

I will be taking an extended 3 week leave of absence starting June 24 and have discussed this with Governor ZuWo.
On Saturday, June 23, I intend to temporarily resign from the Assembly so an active Mideast citizen can replace me and participate in the Assembly for those three weeks.
Yes, technically, the Mideast citizen does not have to resign when I return.
Thank you all. I am disappointed I won't be able to be on the Atlas forum at all those three weeks, but it is for good reason seeing as I will be meeting with professors and touring campuses on the east coast as well as attending my cousin's wedding.

Thank you for your thoughts fellow Atlasians.
I have just resigned my seat in the Mideast Assembly. I will vote in our federal elections tomorrow as a private citizen before traveling through the jungles for a good portion of this legislation session.

Gubernatorial Endorsement
Friends, today I endorse one of the most remarkable citizens in the Mideast, Governor ZuWo in his re-election bid. There has been no citizen more active in the last year. Leading the charge for the revival of the budget and a transformed Assembly as new citizens emerge and other return, sparking activity. Governor ZuWo has done the hard and dirty work. He has updated the wiki page, a part of the job that was has been outright ignored in some administrations since the beginning of this modern government. Governor ZuWo already has the leadership and initiative we are looking for, so I ask you to vote for his re-election. With this upcoming Assembly, I expect to see incredible progress in activity and fruitful debate over a range of issues. Join me in supporting Governor ZuWo's path forward to another term! He is the best man for the job.
Former Governor A-Bob

**Applause** I was sorta scared you'd be announcing, thus splitting potential votes even more. Not that you'd be a bad candidate or anything...

As much as I would love to be a part of an active government in any branch, I unfortunately cannot make the time commitment. If only Atlasian politics counted as a real job...
