PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Since running against Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination, Representative Michele Bachmann of Minnesota has slowly been changing her tune about the man who has become their party’s presumptive nominee. And at a rally here on Thursday with Gov. Bob McDonnell, Mrs. Bachmann officially threw her support behind Mr. Romney, calling the choice in November between him and President Obama “very easy.”

“We’re all here together to have a welcome party here in the Tidewater area for the next president of the United States, President Mitt Romney,” Mrs. Bachmann said, giving her endorsement three months after quitting the race. “I am honored to be able to be here to introduce not only Gov. Bob McDonnell, the fabulous governor of the state of Virginia, but also to lend my voice and my endorsement to Mitt Romney as our president and take the country back.”

I'm surprised she didn't endorse Romney sooner! For Tea Partiers who want total control of the federal government and the freedom to pass whatever far-right bills they want, Romney has always been the best choice.

Mildly surprised and heavily dissapointed. She's much closer to Paul on policy than Mitt.

Paul doesn't have a shot. She said she'd endorse the nominee. Mitt is all but the nominee.

Well, Joe Biden said he'd never serve as Obama's VP.

Her endorsement was just "you have to choose between Obama and Romney. Choose Romney. Now, isn't Bob McDonnell awesome?", right?

I'm surprised Politico hasn't come by to carp on Bachmann waiting so long after she left the race to endorse Mr. Inevitable.
