This is what I mean by Ann Romney being a perfectly good political spouse, but not a skilled politician. If Barbara Bush had set out to make her husband look good, she would have knocked that baseball out of the park.

Actually no, I don't consider that a 'justification' at all (nor am I the sort who considers justification important).  The reason for removing the noggin of the aristo is what he did to you (and will continue to do to you for all your days), not what is 'right' or 'wrong' or 'unjust'.

Ann Romney, in a way, is actually far more awkward and ham fisted than her husband. It would be to Mitt's benefit to keep her away from cameras.
