The same reason why people eventually leave a funeral: Yes it's sad and you're sorry it happened but you eventually need to move on.

Wasn't Artur Davis basically a Republican anyway? I thought he was the guy planted to defeat Earl Hilliard in the Democratic primary because Hilliard opposed the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

I think he was referring to Joe Republic's display name, i.e. cc: Joe Republic (about merging threads).

Wasn't Artur Davis basically a Republican anyway? I thought he was the guy planted to defeat Earl Hilliard in the Democratic primary because Hilliard opposed the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

IIRCm in the Davis-Hilliard race in 2002, Davis was rumored to change to Republican when in office.
