http://communities.washingtontimes.com/neighborhood/tygrrrr-express/2012/may/4/2012-electoral-college-projection-race-270/

Hence these gems to begin:
Shifting back to Mr. Romney, he will carry Iowa (6) and Indiana (11). Mr. Obama won both by razor-thin margins, and they will revert back to the GOP. Iowa is traditionally a swing state that slightly leans Republican

Florida is a state totally controlled by Republicans. Governor Rick Scott is well liked and fairly non-controversial. Florida will vote Democrat only under a perfect liberal storm, as 2008 was. In 2012 they will revert back to form. Even if Mr. Romney does not choose favorite son Marco Rubio, his pro-business stance works well in Florida.

Haha, wow. I wonder if they actually believe their own propaganda?

I read this after reading the article about Chris Christie and Islam.

I didn't think it was possible for me to hear my brain cells committing suicide.

Oh God, let's hope they do. Rick Scott has the potential to make FL safe Obama, and he's probably the worst VP selection Romney could make, and would be an even bigger disaster than Palin.

This is a great example of why mainstream media electoral projections should never have an ounce of attention paid to them (unless Nate Silver counts since he's with the NYT now.)

Obama has no shot whatsoever in states he lost in 2008? Obama won Iowa by a razor-thin margin? Sherrod Brown is unpopular? RICK SCOTT IS POPULAR?!?!?!

Kill me.

The writer starts out with giving Obama a 57% shot at winning, but ends the artcile concluding that Romney will win with 283 electoral votes? WTF?

Other gems:

- New Mexico is one of the four "true tossups" (in reality it has been trending heavily democratic and is probably out of reach for Romney)

- Ohio is apparently NOT a "true tossup" (in reality it is probably the ultimate tossup state).

Finally, someone offers an accurate analysis of the way the race stands in May.

Okay, I have officially figured out that Winfield is in fact not an actual Romney supporter.

Is this some sort of satire?

Accuracy isn't exactly in high demand at the Moonie Times.

Iowa is traditionally a swing state that slightly leans Republican

Which is why it's gone Republican in five out of the past six Presidential elections, right?--right?

I'm not even touching the rest of this, because everybody else already has.

Totally controlled? With Bill Nelson still in office and what recently happened up in Jacksonville? And they mean "perfect liberal storms" like 3 of the 5 past elections? And since when was Florida a big-business-haven?

Well what is more big business friendly than having someone who committed billions of $$ in fraud and not only did not go to jail for it, but became Gov??

Exactly. If you're into corruption and bribery and fraud, Florida is quite business friendly.
