We've played this game a few times. Where, within a county, is much more important than which county. Any non rural county has good areas and bad areas.

I'm very coastal-centric. I've only ventured deep into the country a handful of times, it's very foreign to me. I should add Bexar, TX though, which I definitely don't think qualifies as non-flyover territory.

Well of course, but I wanna be able to form some kind of heat map eventually. And of course there's always going to be a desire to narrow the categories. But you can't get much more narrow with it unless you only consider the Northeast and Midwest.

I'd like to live on Manhattan for a year or two at some point in my life.  Chicago too, to a lesser extent.  Past that, I'm good with Douglas County NE.  I'm sure as I get older and the cold hurts more and more, I'll look to the south or west, but for now, I'm content in my little forgotten corner of America.

The unique misfortune of the Palestinian refugees is that they are a weapon in what seems to be a permanent war...today, in the Middle East, you get a repeated sinking sensation about the Palestinian refugees: they are only a beginning, not an end. Their function is to hang around and be constantly useful as a goad. The ultimate aim is not such humane small potatoes as repatriating refugees.

It would take a lot more research than I'm willing to do this morning to answer the question. I like small towns in rural areas with continental climes and an abundance of mountains, forests, and/or lakes nearby. There are likely well over a dozen counties I would love to live in if given the chance.

That's alright though. Maybe I'll look into it closely enough to give a more proper response later. :]

I don't understand the crazy love New York City always gets in these threads. It's expensive, crowded, and not visually appealing.

San Francisco, California

After that there's a pretty large gap. I suppose Alameda County would be cool, too.

I'm not sure if this new tendency to appeal to the apparent inherent evil of Xahar in all things even remotely related to forum policing or this damn game is especially helpful.

Yes, but you don't know anything about me. Given that "someone like me" was the critical part of the statement, im curious to why you seem so offended.

Not offended. Just annoyed that people assume only New York or California could have immigrants, or gays, or nightlife, or whatever. America's medium sized cities have a lot going on too. At a much better value. Which is important because if you must spend your entire paycheck on rent, you're not going to be able to enjoy any of the things your city has to offer.
