I haven't read the article, but I firmly support Simfan's efforts to blame Lena Dunham for our society's rot.

I agree. Antonio does deserve a political success after many years of seeing right-wingers win all over Europe.
Congratulations
Even if you're not pleased with the actual numbers right now...I'm sure you'll forget about that when Hollande moves into the palace...

Well, thank you people.
I apreciate your kind comments very much (even though I'd rather have avoided seeing a certain map again) and I try to share your joy as much as I can.
So, we won. And we kicked Sarko's ass. He won't be annoying us anymore, and this is something awesome. Something worth partying. It's a great day for France.
However, what a disappointment... What a narrow victory... What an undeserved result !
I can't help resenting the unfairness of life. And the absolute mind-numbing retardedness of voters.
But still, we won.
We're FREE AT LAST.

Merci pour une victoire de la gauche!
Finally, some hope for us European lefties. Hollande has by-far exceeded the expectations I had of him after the DSK affair and I'm extremely happy he's won! Hopefully he can try and get us all out of this austerity crap hole!

Yeah, definitely earned after 17 years of right-winger rule.
10 years, to be fair.
But it was ten
very
painful years, the past five being the worst...

Well, it's not like we're really safe yet. Let's wait for the legislatives before triumphing.
