Here ya go. Only ward under 60% Obama was the one that was annexed from Rosemont a few years back. Notice that the ward that went to Rauner in 2014 was 70% Obama.

And Cook County as a whole - city by ward + suburbs by township

Notice New Trier Township in the furthest northeast corner - likely the wealthiest township in the Midwest - over 60% for Obama

How things have changed. What once was a fiercely divided county between city and suburbs is now largely united in voting.

It's a nice map, though there's not much to see since it's just pretty much different shades of red.

And nonetheless, many trends that can be observed.

Also, "as it should be." Smiley

2008 was a Democratic landslide in the Midwest, and Obama is from IL.  I think you've already posted the 2012 map, so I'll have to find it to compare.

It'll be really interesting to look at 2016 IL without Obama.

I am going to put together a ful Cook map for 2012 as well in the coming days.

If I had to guess for 2016, changes from 2008 will be: Palos will flip R, Hanover, Schaumburg, New Trier will drop from 60s D to 50s, Barrington will jump to 60s R, and there is a chance that Palatine goes R.

Otherwise I would predict the same elsewhere. Will be fun to watch.
