yeah, i know how that is. i've basically been going through 9-10 months of living hell though admittedly some of that was medically related/induced. i feel like i'm in a good mood today though. it comes and goes. hope you feel better.

Not to beat a drum until it has no sound, exercise can be a great morale booster. When I get down a bit, I head straight to the gym. Good luck guy(s), and take it "seriously."  Have it checked out. The body is a very complex little puppy - and full of surprises, some of which are unpleasant.

Sorry to hear you're going through a difficult time, PR. Sad

For what it's worth, based on personal experience I think Torie's right, as he tends to be - it's certainly not a cure-all, and not replacement for medical help if needed, but excercise can do wonders for your mental state IMO. Your mind and body are the same thing, after all, and depression's a physical condition.

That said, do get it checked out - if necessary there's an anti-depressant out there that suits your chemistry, and a doctor who can find it. Best wishes.

I've had the on-off struggle with the little depression monsters since I had PTSD after watching my father die... it's tough. Plus, I've inherited an 'too easily aroused central nervous system" from my Mother's side... so I worry easily and too much.

A lot of it is being kind and generous to yourself... giving yourself the time you deserve. Sometimes you actually need to let the feelings out. Hopefully, you have people around you... who can just be there for you.

I'm currently going through an online CBT course, just to keep myself on the balance beam... and Torie is right, exercise. My 'feelings' are in direct proportion to how often I'm exercising.

Hey my heart goes out to you.  I've been struggling with depression for sometime now and the best advice I can give you is to find someone your close to and spend time with them and talk to them. I wish I had better advice, but really being with people who are supportive and understanding helps a lot. My two friends have been so supportive and helpful.  I agree also with the suggestion of exercise.  Also I know there is a stigma with therapy and psychiatric medications, but both can really make amazing improvements in your life. I wish you the best!

I'm in the same boat to be honest. Bipolar disorder II, a ton of anxiety and a whole assortment of other interesting mental issues. Feel for you Sad
