I haven't read the article, but I firmly support Simfan's efforts to blame Lena Dunham for our society's rot.

Yes, and what is or isn't erotic is pretty subjective anyway.

What about sadistic literary depictions of murder? There doesn't seem to be as much controversy about them.

Because murder isn't an issue that bored painkiller-addicted suburban housewives care about.

Voted no by accident. Oops.
If it's not causing any individual any actual harm, there's simply not reason for it to be illegal. The state has more useful functions than censoring erotic literature, anyway.

Yes they do - they care about their supply of sadistic murders to read about.

guilty until proven innocent is usually how it works for this accusation in the States, so absolutely - just like everyone else here.

I'm not making any accusations, I'm just a little on the concerned side, so to speak.

Al, you're a dick. A smug, pretentious, arrogant, rude, insufferable dick. It seems like half of what you do on this site is act like an utter asshole to me and everyone else on your little blacklist. So please, kindly f#ck off and go f#ck yourself.
And no, I am not a nonce. I simply find censorship repugnant.

As long as it's "literature" and not a how-to, yes, of course.
Agreed.

Exactly. An exception should not be made for sex-related literature.

EDIT: It is only in the International Election thread you cant do it, so ignoring him in the other threads is a solution to you Twilight Sparkle.

The unique misfortune of the Palestinian refugees is that they are a weapon in what seems to be a permanent war...today, in the Middle East, you get a repeated sinking sensation about the Palestinian refugees: they are only a beginning, not an end. Their function is to hang around and be constantly useful as a goad. The ultimate aim is not such humane small potatoes as repatriating refugees.

As for the actual question, the answer is of course, is there an actual contest here?
