It's essentially an economic policy of low-regulation/free trade/low-inflation but either ambiguous on or supportive of high taxes and large welfare states.  See, Scandinavia (especially Denmark) or Germany.  Were the people who actually called themselves "neoliberals" prior to it becoming a Marxist buzzword.

A school of thought in backlash against Nazism and socialism originating from the University of Freiburg. It holds that society should be arranged according to a constitutional framework, and that the government's role should be to help create this framework but no more.

For example, Anglo socialists argue that the director should write the play, set the scenes, and direct the actors. Anglo liberals argue that the director should not to anything except make sure the actors do not hurt each other and that the theater isn't invaded. The ordo liberal would argue that the director should direct, a playwright should write, technicians should set the scenes, and the actors should act.

It all makes good sense and it's worked well in Germany. Unfortunately it's proving a bit too rigid for Europe as a whole. Especially since the director has had a heart attack.

I have a mixed opinion of ordoliberalism overall but voted FI since I consider it humane, morally justifiable, and reasonably moderate relative to most other variations of liberal thought.

It compares and contrasts ordoliberalism with New Keynesianism in Europe, and particularly between the FDP, CDU/CSU, SPD, Greens and Left. It would have been fascinating if they had included Pirates.

Very much positive, but it obviously could use some work. The general philosophy is exactly what I believe. The rigidity and limits are what I disagree with, though do understand from a philosophical standpoint.

It seems quite similar to the Chicago School, but with additional emphasis on the role of government to promote competition and maintain fair markets. It looks like a philosophy Teddy Roosevelt would have endorsed.
