I hope Bush keeps talking and reminding us why we ditched all those Republican incumbents.

But isn't this going against the GOP line in supporting action in the Arab spring?

Only Republican are qualified to spread freedom to the world. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

He's gonna defy the Constitution and run for President again?

Again, contrary to what pbrower might be saying, actual polling shows that Bush is no longer very unpopular at all.

I wonder, if by "support" the revolutions, did he mean get involved?

We need to get solvent again first before the US starts kicking ass around the planet again - among other things. You know Dubya, your vision about Afghanistan is just not bearing fruit is it?  Stubborn cusses aren't they?  They just what to grow their opium poppies. Secular democratic pluralism just isn't taking hold there. Shocking! Who knew?

I personally would find that defecation on the Constitution far less offensive than those in his past.

Can I just put a yellow ribbon on my car that says Support Democratic Revolutions Around the World? Apparantly, that was all the support our armed forces needed when he was President.

If want to stop the Afghans from growing opium poppies, we should allow our own farmers to grow them.  There are all sorts of nasty armed groups we could cut off at the knees if we'd halt the wars on pot, coca, and opium.  Better and cheaper to subsidize American farmers than foreign terrorists.

Uh, yeah, Bush isn't as unpopular when he is kept quiet and away from any media attention. That doesn't make him any less embarrassing and it doesn't mean opening his mouth wont hurt Republicans.

...Define support.

It would actually be kind of hilarious if W. turned into the new Jimmy Carter, going around and certifying elections etc.

Sounds like him and Obama would make a hell of a team. Him sending troops to help revolutions whiles Obama keeps special opps troops there for a decade. Whiles the logical Americans would continue to scream that we shouldn't of been there in the first place and our economy goes even further down the drain.

Does he explain what he means by "support"? Has he thought it through past platitudes? We know George W. Bush loves freedom and considers himself an international leader in freedom and liberty, but it's never been really clear what that means in practice, and the track record is pretty bloody and ugly.

Many Republicans lashed out at Obama for not voicing full support for the protesters in Iran, but having a U.S. President align himself with you is a surefire way to be labeled as a traitor by nationalists.

Except that Obama was/is not leading the charge. Two are in the lip service category, and Libya was a NATO bailout thing, because Europe can't shoot its way out of a paper bag, so Obama needed to lend some air support when things started going awry in mid stream.

Wait, what?  No, George W. Bush loves American freedom, but doesn't really give a rat's ass if the rest of the world has it or not.  See my last post above.

Judging his policies, he doesn't care all that much about freedom for Americans either.
