Well? Current alignment suggests Leslie or Cullen, but then again I have a rather unfavourable opinion of the current alignment.

Mulcair, if he can manage to cobble together a coalition in a Tory minority parliament, otherwise perhaps Nash? Ashton is still young so if perhaps she could be a future contender. Cullen is the BC one, yeah? He could possibly, are there any other viable alternatives from that province?

Mulcair wouldn't necessarily lose his leadership as long as he managed to increase the NDP's seat count by 20 or so seats, though. Even if the NDP fails to win a majority or be the largest party in a hung parliament in 2015, we should remember it took Harper 4 election victories in a row to win a majority.

It seems likely that Mulcair will be Prime Minister someday.

Not Nash, hopefully not Mulcair, either Leslie or Cullen. Preferably Leslie if it absolutely has to be a Dipper.

Why not Mulcair? He's probably the most friendly to the right-wingers of the bunch? Or are you from Alberta? Cullen and Nash seem to be more of the kind that would fit in CCF rather than NDP.

I see no reason not to guess Mulcair at this point. I also don't understand how the former Liberal is so terrifying and evil to some people.

Odds are on Mulcair at this point. Next best shot would be Bob Rae, perhaps. The next NDP leader after Mulcair is probably not someone well known at this point.

There are plenty around - they're about as common as Southern Republicans in the early 20th Century.

They're not that rare. Quebec "conservatives" tend to be more libertarian though. I don't think there's very many social conservatives in the province anymore.

Well, there is some, but, they tend to live in rural areas and to be nationalist, so, they don't vote Conservative.

My honest opinion would be Mulcair at this point. I don't think he'll be the next prime minister, though. Leslie would be a great prime minister, too.
