All he's saying is "Barack" isn't exactly an Anglo name. Chill out. Have you ever met a white person named Barack?

Of course it's a leap to say "name is Barack=un-American," but it wouldn't be off-base to surmise that he might not be some fifth generation American.

I haven't met him personally, but I understand there's this guy in Israel called Ehud Barak, and he seems pretty 'white'.  I'll agree that as a name it doesn't exactly scream "Hi I'm Anglo-Saxon" but if I heard the name "Barack Obama" and was going to make a judgment about that person's ethnicity sight unseen, I'd probably guess Middle-Eastern. Or Irish. :-)
What's the connection between Anglo-Saxon and American? An American name would be Chief Running Bear.
