I like reading witty signatures and the like, but flicked it off a couple of years back because there were too many large pics in people's signature blocks.

I turned off signatures years ago; after I did, I wondered why I hadn't done it years before.

I'm not sure if this new tendency to appeal to the apparent inherent evil of Xahar in all things even remotely related to forum policing or this damn game is especially helpful.

No. I like signatures, it helps me learn more about who a poster is. Cheesy, I know, but whatever.

I found the signatures so distracting and traumatic initially, that after I signed up for the Forum, I didn't post for a year or two except for a couple maybe. And then I bitched, and someone told me how to turn them off, and then I started posting.. Yes, whomever told me how to turn them off should be perma-banned no doubt about it.
Now however I am used to them, and really hardly see them anymore, and turned them on a couple of years ago. The mind adapts. In fact, it is kind of an interesting case study really. Maybe it should be written up in some neurological journal or something.

I turned signatures off about 2 or 3 years ago. Of course, I'm sure I still have a signature up on mine. It makes this forum so much easier to read. I came on once without logging in from a friends computer, and man it was annoying! All the people who have some huge pictures, or annoying gifs.. I don't think I'd ever turn them back on at this point.

No, I like signatures. Though I'd strongly support some sort of limit on the size of images in them.
Or even better, I'd like it if there were an ignore signatures feature, where you're only ignoring a specific poster's signature. So I could ignore Hashemite's signature, but not necessarily Hashemite.

I left them disabled for my first several months as a poster, but I've enjoyed them since I re-enabled the feature not long ago.
AdBlock and the ignore function are sufficient to keep them under control.

Indeed. This is the only "adult" message board I go to that doesn't have a size limit on sigs.

The unique misfortune of the Palestinian refugees is that they are a weapon in what seems to be a permanent war...today, in the Middle East, you get a repeated sinking sensation about the Palestinian refugees: they are only a beginning, not an end. Their function is to hang around and be constantly useful as a goad. The ultimate aim is not such humane small potatoes as repatriating refugees.
